June 18— (UP)—One of the most profitable livestock sales in the history of American farming was held yesterday with 99 bead of purebred Aberdeen Angus cattle selling for a total of 1197.000. The sale was a public auction of breeder cattle at the farm of J, Garrett Toland, said to Im the liggrst Aberdeen Angus breeder Un the corn belt. Average price per head was 11.950. One cow sold for 825.000. world's record price for a female of any breed. She was Erlanna It 6th, the 1940 International grand championship female. Erianna B 6th was sold to Vaughn Brothers of Albion, Mich., who also purchased Barbaraniere 15tb, another female, for BH.OOO. Erianna B 6th was bred on the farm of John W. Brown at Rowhill, la.
