Hold 'Green Thumb' Contest This Year Will Participate In Garden Contest "Green thumbs'* In Adame county are participating In n garden co*test again this year. Many years ago jieople used to «*y that any one who could make ihlnga grow had a "green thumb." The "green thumbs" of local gardeners will help feed their families and release food to the starving people ovens***. This contest Is sponsored on a national baeis by the national garden Institute. Prixea are as much as 6500 In victory bonds for national winner*. .Medals are also given. Adult contestants throughout the county will be registered by either of the two sponsoring agents —the Adams county association of home economic clubs and the Adame county farm bureau. Draja Mikhallnvitch, lighting for hl* life Ip-fore a Yugoslav military court, admitted today that before the end of the war he signed a truce with Nail representatives whom he met at a case by appointment. Mikhallovitch pleaded InniH-ent rt the opening of lhe second nay’s session of hi* trial on chargee of treason, collaboration with th* Nasi*, and war crimes. The Chetnik chieftain, once hailed by the Allies as the hero of anti-Naxi resistance In Yugoslavia. plunged Immediately into his own defense. Mikhallovitch admitted that he sent a delegation to meet the Yugoslav quisling. Milan Nedla, in the early fall of 1941. He denied, however, that he concluded an agreement with Nedic, which the prosecution wanted to eatabILh as proof of his alleged collaboration. Then he acknowledged that, after reaching a truce with Marshal Tito's partisans, the rival guerilla force in Yugoslavia, he met with German representatives.
