The War Department has directed that effective Immediately and continuing until midnight April 7, a special effort be made to enlist the maximum number of men with previous service In un armored force unit Including service type organisations with the armored forces, for direct enlistment and assignment to the 2nd armored division presently located, at Camp Hood, Texas. It was announced here today by Colonel Francis A. Kreldel, who further stated that direct enlistment and assignment to the 2nd armored division is authorised regardless of period of enlistment.
