The pilot was Jaul Dameron. Detroit. The plane wa* a navy trainer craft which Dameron purchased as surplus at Harris field. Cape Girardeau. Mu. yc«terd*y. Damerun'a companion. Harvey Klelnleln, Detroit, lost sight of the missing plane soon after the two left Danville In separate planes at 3:15 pm. yesterday. Klelnleln aald he returned to Danville tn the belief that Dameron had gone back there to land. Then he went on to mirth Manchester. Ind., airport, where the two had arranged to refuel. He said that Dameron'* plane contained only enough gasoline for ,i three-hour flight and that, if he flew continuously after leaving
