Big Five Council Will Meet Tuesday Britain Opposed To A-Bomb Discussion London, Sep-t. 10 —(UP— Great Britain took a firm stand today against any discussion of the future control of the Atomic bomb at the Big Five council of foreign ministers opening here tomorrow. Foreign commissar V. M. Molotov of Russia arrived by plane today for the council established at Potsdam to set the course toward the final peace settlements and, maintain liaison among the United Nations governments. Molotov arranged a pre-confer-ence meeting with British foreign minister Ernest Bevin for tomorrow morning. Bevin was seeing Georges Bidault of France and ( Wang Shih Chieh of China later | today. Secretary of state James F. Byrnes was due at Southampton on the Queen Elizabeth in time for the first formal session of the conference tomorrow. An official British spokesman revealed Britain’s opposition to taking up the future of the Atomc bomb at the conference. He expressed “surprise” at a London Star dispatch saying that Russia, France and China would be allowed to share the atomic secret when the council opened. Bevin, the commentator said, has suggested that it is a matter which appropriately falls to the United Nations organization.” There has been “no official suggestion,” he added, that the subject of the Atomic bomb, on which the future peace of the world may depend, be taken up by the foreign ministers. The star said a joint request for the secret of the bomb would come i as a “prologue” to the conference. Byrnes, the newspap’er said, will be asked for assurance that the bomb formula will not be given to any commercial combine. Aside from the atomic bomb, a L host of international ipnoblems confronted the foreign minister The preliminary drafting of peace treaties; particularly for Italy, rated high on the program. The breach between the Soviet and Anglo-American viewpoint on the Romanian crisis windened on 1 the eve of the conference. A Brit- , ish spokesman said he understood King Michael had refused to sign all government decrees because oi i a desire to dissociate himself with the Saviet-dominated Groza gov1 eminent. o Nine Escape Serious Injury in Accident Six Mexican women and three babies escaped serious injury at about 6 p.m. Sunday evening when their automobile, driven by Miss Conetine Ballez, upset on state ; road 124, one-half mile east of the .
