Effort To Miss Hog Results In Accident Heavy Damage Done In Accident Today The attempt to miss a wander-1 ing hog which was crossing C. S. I highway 224 at about 5 o'clock I this morning, five miles east of I Decatur, proved costly to George Cockran, -M. of Indianapolis, | driver of a large semi-trailer, for the Merchant's Freight System, which skidded and turned over in a field south of the road, doing considerable damage to a fence and tractor plow The black Poland China hog was killed, as it deliberately ran into the truck. Mr. Cockran was not injured. Tile driver informed Sheriff Leo Gillig that he saw the hog, on the highway and made an effort to avoid striking the animal.
