Indiana Wheal Crop Prospects Improve Purdue Report Shows Winter Wheat Boost I<atayette, Ind.. May 16 With an ixpx’ted crop of 25.340,(XX) bush'd*. Indiana winter wheat prospect* on May 1 looked better titan th‘-y did a month ago. when a total production of 23,508.600 wa» indicated. This report was made today by Purdue University agricultural statistician* cooperating with the U. 8. bureau of agricultural economic*. Th. Indicated yield per acre was 20 bushel*. The loss of acreage since seeding win only three percent, leaving 1.367.000 acres for harvest.
