Beat Liberty Center And Montpelier For Regional Meet Title

Crown Is Decatur's First Regional Win In History; To Meet Fort Wayne Central Decatur’* Yellow Jacket;., scoring a pair of declaim triumph*, gave Decatur it* fir«( regional triumph in the schools history by knocking over the Liberty Center Lion* and the Montpelier Pacers in the Huntington regional tournament Saturday. Montpelier bad advanced with a 29 to 27 overtime triumph over the Huntington township Bearcats in the second afternoon battle. Take Early Lead The Yellow Jacket* started fast against the liberty Center quintet. Reed clicked for the first points when he hit a long shot. The teams were tied at 2 2 and 4 4 but Reed hit bis third fielder and the Jackets were In front to stay. Decatur was in the lead. 11 to 5, at the end of the first quarter, and built this margin up to 17 point*. 29 to 12. at the end of the half.
