Mrs. Ida Dettmer Is Taken By Death Will Hold Funeral Services Wednesday Mrs. Ida M. Dettmer. 77, widow of the late John E. Dettmer, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Amos Springer, three miles north of Ossian, after a long ill* nests of complications. She was born in Cincinnati, 0.. December 4, 1888. the daughter of John and Christine Mldlekam-Mac-key, but had lived most of her life near Ossian. She was a member of the Friedhelm Lutheran church. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Gustkve Springer. Albert, Victor and Luther A. Dettmer, all of Ossian; Mrs. Amost Springer of Yoder. Charles Dettmer of Tocsin. Fred Dettmer of Fort Wayne, William Dettmer of Preble township, Mrs. Henry Schrank of Arcola. Mrs. August Schmidt and Mrs. Frieda Brueck, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers: Henry and William Mackey, both of Ossian, two sisters: Mrs. Floss Archbold of Ossian and Mrs. Charles Grueber of Fort Wayne; 41 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. One son, one brother and one sister are deceased. Funera iservices will be held at 1:45 p. m. Wednesday st the Amos Springer residence, three mfks north of Ossian on state road 1. and at 2:30 o’clock at the Friedhelm Lutheran church. Rev. E. T. Schmidtke officiating. Burial will be In the church cemetery. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schwaller, who live north of Monroe in Washington township, the girl was boru at the Adan» county memorial hospital Saturday afternoon at 6:53 o'clock. California and Illinois lead the nation with at least 20 deaths apiece. Traffic accidents took 19 lives ill Illinois and 13 lives in California.
