White river In Indianapolis late last night. He I* seaman second cla*« Theodore Styer, who pulled two unconscious person* from the river and aided * third to reach shore. The trio was apliled into the water when a canoe in which they were riding suddenly capsized. Beaman Styer who was nearby In u row boat - heard lhefr cries and plunged fully clothed into the river. When he reached them, two of the penson* Mary Risk and Carlyle Drier had tost consclouues* and were underwater. The other— Miw. Pauline Langsdale was barely ihanagiiig io keep herself afloat when Styer helped her to reach •hore.

OBITUARY Walter Glen. »on of Elzey and Fanny Jackeon. was born in Adams County. Indiana March 30, 1902. He departed this life at his late home in Adams County. June 5, 1943, age 41 year*. 2 months. 6 dayic He was united In marriage by Ref. G. M Sill to Miss Rosetta Bittner September 24, 1927, with whom he lived a very happy life, sharing each other's sorrowe and each other’s joys a* the years went fleeting by. He was converted and joined the I’nlted Brethren church at Pleaeant Grove society February 1937. under the labor of the present Rev. Gilbert A. Eddy. Glen took hl* Christian life seriously to every respect. At the time of his death he was serving as class leader, treasurer of the Sunday school and member and treasurer of the local hoard of truateee. He was loved by all who knew him. he loved the true, the beautiful and the good and always put the best construction on everything. He loved music and singing and just a short time before his paeslng he wae humming one of his favorite eongs and ask<d his wife to sing. And as ahe sang, ho raised hta weak and and beat time He was much interested in children and young people and was always aide to adjust hlmaelf to the age of those with whom he associated. He was faithful in ail things committed to hta care. We may well -ay "a good man has fallen.” And though hta sun went down while It wa<* yet day. his life was a testimony of his ardent faith in God. He is survived by ills grief etricken companion, father and mother and the following brothers and sLters. Harry E. of Fort Wayne.
