Nov. 19 - il'Pl A 45yar-old former Bloomington newspaper executive. Caroline Payne, will go on trial today for she second tlm-- for the slaying of attorney C O. Mattingly of Indianapolis. She will be tried in the Monroe county circuit court at Bloomington. Selection of a fury Is I expected to require several dava. The first trial of Mrs. Payne on First degree murder charges was dismissed last Spring after the Jury failed to agree The Detondani pleaded Innocent In that trial.
