A very Important possession of George Washington, and yet one almost entirely overlooked by historians, was the Pogue Run grist mill, near Mount Vetnon. which Washington visited as his la’t trip before he fell auk and died. The mill, built by Washington* father between the years 1.35-3 P. t continued to run for many year* after Washington * death in 179# but it gradually fell into decay a* time went on.
