RICE The Christian ladles' aid society met Thursday afternoon at the country home of Mrs. Robert Rit-e, with Mrs. William Kohls in charge of devotionals. Minutes were read and the roll called by Mm. Lucy Daniels. Mrs. J. E. Daniels presided over the business session. Announcement was made of a cookie sale Thursday. September 11, in charge of Mm. Paul Daniela and Mias Margaret Daniels, ways and means committee for the month. Orders may be telephoned to Mrs. Fred King. The annual rummage sale will be held in October with Mrs. Rene Hoffman In charge. The aale. as usual, will be conducted In the basement of the Christian church. The meeting closed with prayer and wm followed by a social hour. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Rice, assisted by her mother, .Mrs. James Kitchen. W. C. T. U. LADIES ENJOY WEINER ROAST Members of the women's society of Christian service of the .Methodist church of Monroe enjoyed a weiner roast on the lawn of the church last evening The ladies dressed in old fashioned clothes and during the evening described the different methods of traveling to church In past years.
