Thousands of Indiana boys and girls and youths from neighboring states will enjoy low-cost vacation outings again this year in the Indiana state park group camps, Virgil M. Simmons, commissioner of the Department of Conservation, said today. Approximately thirty different groups — Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, l-H Clubs. Y. M. C. A. and Y. W. C. A. groups and church organizations —have already made reaet rations , for use of the camps at Shakemak and McCurtnick's Creek state parks. Camp Pokagon, a summer camp for boys will again use the groun camp at Pokagon state park snd the group camp at Dunes state will be individually operated this year. The camps include a kitchen, dining room, bunk houses and administration quarters furnished except for bed clothing, with modern toilets and electricity. They are available to organized groups at a cost of twenty-five cents per day per person. During the past year there were twenty-four thousand overnight occupancies in the state park group camps. I Early reservations for the thre-a separate group camps at McCormick's Creek have assured the continuous capacity use of there camps during the summer months while the camp at Shakamak is still avail able for a part of the season.
