boring city of Bluffton. Friday's game, a northeastern Indiana conference tilt, will be the rubber game between the two squads. —oOo— Early in the season. Bluffton defeated the Yellow Jackets at the Parlor City hut the Jackets atoned for this defeat with a triumph over the Tigers in the annual New Year's tourney here. So it s "even Steven" for the quintets and Friday's game should be one of those naturals. —oOo — Memories of the oldest and most rabid sports fans of Decatur are taxed to remember when the in-ter-city rivalry between Decatur and Bluffton was first started. Have heard many stories of the grand and glorious tthough somewhat gory- contests staged between athletic teams of the two neighboring cities from years gone by. And. if these stories can be accepted as gospel, it wasn't just the participants who engaged in battle, even tne spectators had their flings—and swings. —oOo— While the Decatur-Bluffton * rivalry has become more dignified in later years, to many Decatur fans a victory over Bluffton compensates for all other athletic disappointments during the year. And the same goes for many Bluffton fansSo have at it, boys. —oOo — Commodore officials informed Basketbawl this morqjng that St. Paul's of Marion officials have cancelled the Marion-Decatur tilt, scheduled to be played at Marion Friday night.
