Death was caused by a heart attack. He had spent an evening of leisure and had retired when he was stricken. His wife, Virginia, and his daughter, Mrs. Donald J. Eaton, were with him when he died. — o Damage Os $25,000 In South Bend l ire South Bend. Ind., Jan. 9--(UP) — Damage was estimated at $25,000 today as result of a fire which swept the dean building and disrupted light and telephone service in the downtown area for three hours last night. An overheated furnace was believed the cause of thef ire. The damage was caused largely by smoke and water.
