C. of the Evangelical Sunday school will meet Tuesday evening at seven o'clock at the home of Roberta Coffelt. A good attendance is desired. RUMMAGE SALE TO START FRIDAY The ladles of the First Presbyterian church will have a rummage sale Friday and Saturday of this week. The sale will be held in the Graham building on Madison street. Plenty of good warm winter clothing will be offered at the lowest possible prices. The Zion Lutheran Missionary society will meet Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock in the church parlors. This is the annual guest day meeting and all members are urged to attend. CHRISTIAN LADIES HAVE MEETING THURSDAY The Christian Ladles’ aid society met at the home of Mrs. Noah Mangold Thursday afternoon. Mrs. William Kohls had charge of the devotional. Roll call was held and a report of the sick calls made tor the month were given. A short lousiness meeting was held and Mrs. James means committee tor November, anKitcheji, chairman of ways and means committee for November, announced the pie sale to be held November sixteenth and the plans were made. A cafeteria lunch was served by the hostess. Mrs. Rebekah Eady of Fort Wayne was a guest at the meeting. The monthly meeting of the Otterbein guild of the United Brethren church will be held at the C. A. Dugan residence Tuesday evening at seven thirt/ o’clock. The Loyal Daughters of the Evangelical church will meet in the church parlors Tuesday evening at seven o’clock.

A minor wreck also occurred within the city Sunday morning when an auto driven by Bud Magley and the city police car, driven by Chief Sephus Melchi, collided at Seventh and Jefferson streets about 11:10 Sunday morning. Hart probably is the only motorist to hit a peacock. A flock of the birds inhabit Rancho Santa Anita. He reported the matter to the police and said he was unable to locate the peacock afterward.
