PLAN COLISEUM AT FAIRGROUNDS State Seeks SIOO,OOO PWA Grant To Build New Coliseum Indianapolis, Sept. 16. - <U.R> The state board of agriculture today awaited formal approval of a J400.00U Wl’A grant for the construction of a new 11,000,000 coliseum at the state fairgrounds and planned to rush the structure to completion as soon as possible. Lieut. Gov. Henry F. Schrlcker said that the grant probably will ’ be authorized by Washington of-' ficials In a few days, after which the agricultural board will meet immediately to issue 1600.000 worth of bonds to finance the new structure. Schrlcker said that by next ' year the board's bonded indebtedness will be only 1205.000 and the new $600,000 can be floated easily . and retired regularly from the pro- , and New Castle, Ind. The Briggs strike began Wed i nesday when 6,000 of the workers seized and held the plant four hours in a sit-down demonstration until company officials agreed to keep it closed pending a settlement.
