Newbauer, Ftate insurance commissioner. reported today that for the fiscal year ending June 30 life insurance In force in Indiana totalled *2,802,070,669 <B) tin increase of *217,270.440 (M) over the preceding fiscal year. Firemen rescuing William Ahearn » An attempted suicide from a high ledge above New York City is foiled by police and firemen who seize William Ahearn, a mental case, from the eighth-floor ledge of Bellevue hospital where he threatened to jump for more than an hour. Several weeks ago, John Warde, a despondent youth, jumped to his death from the 17th floor ledge of a hotel after holding thousands spellbound for pipre than 10 hours.
