Two Plead Guilty Ed Schultz and William Harvey, two of the three apprehended by Officers Adrian Coffee and Roy Chllcote Sunday night on charges of reckless driving, pleaded guilty to the charge. Jack Holthouse, the third, pleaded not guilty and stood trial. The two arresting officers and Lewis Beery. Robert N. White and David Heller, local persons who were on the scene at the time of the alleged violations, all were called to testify. The witnesses were all alike In their statements that the trio rounded the curve on North Second street, three abreast, traveling at a rate of between 50 and 60 miles per hour. Police made a public appeal to the motorists of the city and community, urging cooperation with the city traffic ordinances and ’
pledging a concerted effort to apprehend all offenders. Stopping at all preferential streets, observing red traffic! lights, conforming with speed lintI its in the residential and business section, safe and careful driving were among those precautionary measures advocated by the police. Under the recommendation of the court, the state will conduct a hearing to determine whether the lads are to lose their licenses for the suggested period. The licenses are suspended, however, until such a hearing is held. Drunken drivers were also Riven a warning by the authorities.
