The resolution follows: "Whereas, the present conditions ’ in our national life demand that ! effort be devoted to combattig eu'bversive Influence; “Whereas, the economic condition of our people demand that steps be taken to prevent human suffering to assure social and economic security; “Whereas, the recovery program of the President of the United States. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, ' is devoted to ends that we recognize as needful; “Whereas, the Young Democrats of Indiana have taken the lead in a "Cooperate with Roosevelt" program intended to make available to all people true explanations of this recovery program: "Be it therefore resolved, that we, the Adams County Cooperate with Roosevelt club, do hereby pledge our aid and assistance to the Young Democrats of Indiana in their profcram to educate the people of the state in the operations of their governmental structure, with particular* emphasis on the recovery program." o South Carolina Congressman Dies Washington, June 17 —(UP) — Rep. Allen H. Gasque, D., S. C„ died at. Walter Reed hospital at 1:15 A. M. today, a few hours after the 75th congress had adjourned. He had been ill of a heart ailtient at the hospital since May 25. He was 65. He wae chairman of the house pensions committee. He was elect'd to the 68th congress and has served continuously so the last 15 yeas. Mike Meo, riding on the truck unknown to the occupants, was 1 slightly injured and was taken to his home at Rushville by a passing motorist. I The accident occurred on U. S. I highway 52 as the car-load of Negroes coming from Cincinnati, pass-1 ed another car and crashed into the i truck, which was coming from the west. Motorists who had been (passed by the speeding machine later, told police it was traveling between 70 and 80 miles an hour. Two Indianapolis youths, George and Robert Clarkson, Brothers, whose automobile the negroes pass-1 ed before they hit the truck, said the truck hurled Into the air and overturned. The car rolled over
