He maintained that his mother was under the undue influence of his stepfather and that he was forced to depend on scant earnings from occasional pictures for support. Jackie is now Married to Betty Grable, screen starlet. His stepfather said Coogan was “suffering from hallucinations” and claimed he had received everything he was entitled to.
