B.—Although the I U. 8. farm price incex for March 15 dropped to 86, one point below ! the February figure, the Indiana farm price Index based on 1910 — j 14 prices registered the first in- , crease since the prices started on j a downward awing in August, 1937, ' according to the monthly report on farm prices compiled by the departments of agricultural statistics and farm management, of Purdue university. The Indiana farm price index j for March was 104.4, or 3.9 points higher than the previous month, the report showed. Also, while | the U. 8. purchasing power of farm j products dropped one point from ! the February figure of 77, the In- ; diana purchasing power jumped to 83. three points above the Febru- ’ ary mark.
