Be it ordained by the | Common Council of the City of Decatur. Indiana. tha>t It shall be un- I lawful for any driver or owner of j any vehicle to stop or park or allow | or permit .said vehicle to be stopped ' *.r parked in the following derignat- ' ed places which shall be known as | Dre routes: (a) On the east side of Third Street from Jefferson Street! to Jackson Street. (b) On the east side of First I Street from the alley midway between Jefferson Street and! Adams Street to Jackson i Street. (c) On both sides of Winchester I Street from the south side of, Rugg Street to the Elie Railroad Tracks. (d) On both sides of Winchester, Street from a point 200 feet south of the Erie Railroad tracks north to the Erie Rail-I road Tracks. SECTION 11. It shall be unlawful' for the operator of any vehicle to i park such vehicle between the hours! of 8 o’clock A. M. and 7 o’clock P. M. on any day, Sunday excluded for a longer period than one (1) hour, except on Saturdays, when such limit shall be between the hours of 8 o’clock A. M. and 10 o’clock P. M. in the following places: (a) On Second Street from the; north line of Jefferson Street; to the south line u£ Jackson i Street. (b) On Monroe Street from the! west line of First Street to 1 the east line of Third Street. | (c) On Monroe Street from the west line of Seventh Street to the Pennsylvania Railroad Tracks. SECTION III.’ It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to park said vehicle on Second Street from Jefferson Street to Jackson Street longer than two (2) hours between the hours of 2 o’clock A. M. i and 8 o’clock A. M. of any day. SECTION IV It shall be unlawful! tor the operator of any vehicle to I park such vehicle in such manner as to interfere with or interrupt the passage of other motor vehicles on j any street in the City of Decatur, j Indiana, or on any state highway , ! loute which passss through the City' of Decatur, Indiana, and which is ! commonly known as double parking. SECTION V. Any person, firm or ■ corporation who shall violate any , clause, subdivision or section of this 1 ordinance shall be fined in any sum not exceeding 1100.00 to which may be added imprisonment not to exceed I thirty days. SECTION VI. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION VII. CHINA ASSERTS fCONTINUTO FROM eAQE_OHB\ , fore they evacuated Tsinan, provincial capital of Shantung, destroyed the Japanese consulate general, the Japanese school, auditorium and hospital, and looted all Japanese homes. Utilities were destroyed. the Japanese complained, i in order to hamper their troops. An additional 26 Americans were expected to leave Tsingtao, today in commercial ships, leaving 159 Americans there and 13 in the country near there. Consular authorities understood that there were 11 Americans in the Tsinan area. Nothing was known of their, fate. The United Press correspondent at Tsingtao reported all quiet there. He said that there was no fighting at present in the area and that motor bus service to the interior had been restored.
