BEARS DEFEAT DECATUR TEAM FRIDAY NIGHT Yellow Jackets Are Defeated On Berne floor Friday Night — The Berne Bears handed the De-1 catur Yellow Jackets a 31 to 18; defeat at the Berne auditorium Friday night, taking the lead late j in the first quarter, and maintaining the margin throughout the game. Decatur held the lead at only one time during the game, leading I at 3 to 2 during the first quarter. Neither team could hit consistent-, ly during the first period, which' ended with Berne out in fr.at, 5 to 3. | ( The Bears increased their margin io eight points as the half ended, 15 to 7. Decatur tallied only , two field goals during the first half. , with McConnell accounting for both. Berne further added to its lead ■ in the third quarter, and with the final period opening, the Bears held a lead of 22 to 11.
