This week's basketball schedule may be slim, but nonetheless it's; choice. —oOo— The first of two annual clashes between the Decatur Yellow Jackets and the Berne Bears, to be played at Berne Friday night, heads the schedule. Your guess on the outcome is as good as ours. —oOo — The Jackets defeated the Bears last year at Berne, while the Bears were victorious in the game played on the Decatur floor. The teams also met during the New Year’s Day tourney at Bluffton, with Berne winning. —oOo— The Decatur Commodores also have an outstanding tilt booked for this week end, when Catholic high of Joliet. 111., plays here Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. No preliminary game will he played. This will be the final game for the Commodores until January 1. —oOo— Fans of the county will watch closely the battle at Hartford Friday night, when the Hartford Gorillas tangle with the Geneva Cardinals. Each of these teams has won six games and lost two this season Other games this week are: Thursday—Pleasant Mills vs. Alumni at Commodore gym. Friday—Monroe and Kirkland at Yellow Jacket gym; Monmouth and Jefferson at Geneva. —oOo — Note that the Bluffton Tigers had a terrific battle defeating the Liberty Center uions last night, 24 to 23. Wonder which aide of the fence Buck rode. Years ago, Blick was star center for Liberty Center. Won’t say how many years, Buck. —oOo — Some comments from the Berne scribes regarding the Bears-Yellow Jackets clash: “As we predicted Decatur was beaten by North Side, the margin of victory being 15 points and at North Side's gym, speaks fairly well for the Yellow Jackets. “Coming here Friday night you I WANTED Rags, Magazines..
