BOOKBINUEKX ANU STATIONERS Board ot Public Printing . tndlanapolli, Ind , Octotxr 23, 1937 The Board ot Public Printing will In accordance with an act ot the General Asaembly, approved March 10. mill, and a» amended In 1920 and 1013, receive sealed proposals at the office of the Clerk of the Board ot Public Printing, Room 135 State House, Indianapolis, Indiana, on Tuesday the 23rd day Ot November, 1937, at the hour ot 10 o’clock a. m. for doing the public printing and binding and furnishing the stationery for the use ot all the State Offices, Boards, Bureaus, Departments. Commissions, and all Benevolent, Penal Correctional and Educational Institutions of the State of Indiana, except the tour Educational Institutions; —Purdue University. Indiana University, Indiana State Teachers College and Ball State Teachers College, which Institutions shall be exempt as to Class three, (supplies) and shall be permitted to make their own purchases in this class. The contracts to be let on said blds are tor a period ot two years, beginning December 2. 1937, and ending December 1. 1939. Blds shall be on each class separately, and each class may be let without regard to any other class The Board reserves the right to reject any or all blds. At the same time and in the same manner, covering the same period, the Board will also receive separate blds tor the printing and binding of the Supreme and Appellate Court Reports. in accordance with the law authorising the publication of same. All blds submitted must be signed by parties proposing to do the work, securely sealed in duplicate, and accompanied with such certified checks as are hereinafter named. Bidders must bid on every Item In each class bid on and make extensions of prices and place the totals at the end of each of the classes. M. to 4 p. m. during the tax paying season. All taxes not paid by that time will become delinquent and an 8% penalty will be added. Those who have bought or sold property and wish to have a division of taxes are asked to come in at once. Call on the Auditor for errors and any reductions. The Treasurer can make no corrections. The Treasurer will not x>e responsible for the penalty of delinquent taxes resulting from the ommission of tax-payers to state definitely on what property, they desire to pay. in whose name it may be found, in wh«t township or corporation it is sit ua.ed. INDIANA The taxpayers of the Civil City us Decatur, Indiana, are hereby notified that a petition has been tiled by fifty (50) or more owners of taxable real estate in said Civil City, requesting the Common Council of me City of Decatur, Indiana, to authorize tile issuance of bonds of said Civil City in an amount not exceeding the sum ot Fifty Thousand Dollars (Iso.uoU.uu) for the put pose of providing funds to be used as follows: To aid tne School City of the < iiy of Deeautr, Indiana, in the construction of a high school building m said city. A remonstrance against the issuance of said bonds may be filed with the Common Council of the City of Decatur. Indiana, in the manner and ..-itnin lhe time provided by Chapter 119, of the Acts of 1937, of the Genral Assembly of the State ot Indana. The taxpayers of said Civil City re hereby further notified th%t the ommon Council of the City of Deatur, Indiana, did, on the 14th day of October, 1937, determine to issue the bonds of said Civil City in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ,»jU,uuu.oU) and to use tne proceeds as follows: To aid the School City of the city of Decatur, Indiana in tne construction of a high school ouiiding on tne real estate now owned by said School City and described as follows. Inlots No. 100, 101, 102, 109, 110 and 111 in tne original plat of the town, nowcity, of Decatur, Adams County, Indiana. Said building to be constructed of brick and steel containing at least eighteen (18) class rooms and gymnasium. two (2) stories in heighth with English-type basement, and outside dimensions of approximately 138 feet by 222 feet. Said bonds In the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars (>50,000.00) of said , Civil City are to bear interest at tne rate not exceeding four and one half per cent (44»%) per annum, and are to be payable over a period of approximately sixteen (IS) years. The net assessed valuation of taxable property in said Civil City is Four Million Seven Hundreu Forty Thousand Nine Hundred Thirteen I. ollars (81,740,913.00) and the outstanding indebtedness of said Civil City, exclusive of the above mentioned bonds, is Ten Thousand Dollars ) 810,000.00 Objections to the issuance of said bonds may be made by ten (10) or uore taxpayers filing a petition in the office ot the Auditor of Adams ounty, Indiana, within the time and in the manner provided by Statute, Which petition will be heard and considered by the State Board ot Tax Commissioners in the manner provided by law.
