A short program was enjoyed Including a recitation by Betty Roop, | a guitar solo by Ruby Miller, a reclI tation by Mary Louise McCoy and a saxaphone solo by Joan Newlin. I Mies Kathleen Foreman and Mtes Ruby Miller poured tea assisted by] Miss Joan Newlin and Miss Ruth Virginia Baker. Nine mothers at-1 tended and each wae presented with a lovely handkerchief. DELTA THETA TAU ALUMNAE PARTY | The alumnae of Delta Theta Tau entertained with a party Wednes-1 day evening at the home of Mre. ‘ Herb Kern, honoring Mrs. James j Brown who is moving to Fort Wayne this week. At six-thirty o’clock a lovely dinner was served at the dining table I centered with a Ibowl of Japanese ' quince bloesoms flanked with light-, ed tapers. After dinner bridge wae enjoyed and iprizes were given to Mre. Raymond Kohne and Mre. Jack Brunton. Mrs. Brown wae presented with a gift from the alumnae. 1 DELTS ENJOY DINNER BRIDGE Mrs. C. V. McCann, Mrs. Dick Steele. Miss Mary Margaret Voglewede ana M.lee Margaret Lauby were hosteeses Wednesday evening at a social meeting of the Delta Theta Tau sorority at the Elks home. At six-thirty o'clock a lovely dinner was served at small tables centered with bud vases holding peach colored roses and baby breath. Around the vases were varicolored containers of ivy for each guest. (Bridge was played and prizes were given to Miss Wertzberger and Mre. George Thoms. Mre. William Pettit was a guest other than members and was presented with a guest prize. Mre- Pettit, who recently moved to Decatur from Hartford City, was ■ invited to become affiliated with the local chapter. Miss Mary Kathryn Leonard and Miss Flothilda Tarris became active in the sorority. |
