STANDARD BEARERS HAVE REGULAR MEETING The Standard Bearers society ot the Methodist Episcopal Sunday school met with Miss Anna Jane Tyndall Wednesday evening with Miss Zulu Porter, president, conducting the meeting. Plane were made for the Standard Bearer girls to entertain the Missionary mothers in November. The program was in charge ot Miss Gladys Miller. Miss Agnes Nelson gave the first chapter of the study book ‘the Lands and Life of Africa.” At the close of the evening lovely refreshments were served by the hostess. The Senior choir of the Zion Reformed church is requested to meet at the church for practise Friday evening promptly at seven forty-! five o’clock. All members are urged to be present. CONFERENCE CONVENTION TO BE IN FORT WAYNE The conference convention of the Woman’s Home missionary society of the Methodist Episcopal church will convene in Trinity M. E. church in Fort Wayne, Tuesday October 20, at nine thirty a. m. The program outlines an interesting meeting and all members who possibly can are urged to attend . Wis„ Oct. 15 —(UP) — Mrs. Ruth Moran, 21. housemaid, who shot her married suitor in the hack and killed him when he thrjßfc ened to reveal their love affair, consented to her attorney’s plea today that she withdraw her guilty plea and demand a jury trial.
