This birds-eye view shows the Central Sugar Co., Central Soya Co. and McMillen Feed Mills buildings at the north side of the city. The large storage bins in the foreground are still under construction but will be completed next month and coupled with the present storage will give the plant a capacity of one million bushels. All of the buildings on the right side of the picture have been erected since 1933 and give a graphic idea of the company s’rapid growth. McMillen Feed Mills, Inc. organized in January 1935 manufactures Master Mix feeds for poultry and livestock. Using products from the Central Sugar Co. and the Central Soya Co., feeds are being manufactured of superior quality at a comparatively low cost which in turn allows them to reach dealers and feeders at a lower price than other feeds of comparable high quality and character. Affirming the old adage that quality pays, Master Mix feeds have achieved widespread popularity in amazingly short time. The demand for Master Mix feeds has necessitated the construction of new buildings, the erection of additional equipment and the laying of hundreds of feet of railway trackage to handle the increasing carload business.
