I One of the highlights of the con vention will be the attendance of Mrs. Melville Muckelatone, national Auxiliary president. Mrs. Muckelstone, a former resident of Black 'ford county, Indiana, several weeks ago accepted the invitation to attend her home state’s convention. She will address a Joint session of the Legion and Auxiliary on Sun day morning. Muncie will offer commodious buildings for the convention activities, all located near the downtown hotels. The Legton will meet in Central high school auditorium. The Auxiliary sessions will be held lin the tnillion-dollar Masonic Temple. July 16 —Award of a freshman scholarship by Butler University to Mildred Beer of Monroe for the 1936-37 school year han keen announced by President James W. Putnam. The award will become effective with the opening of the
university for its elghty-eecond annual school year on Sept. 10. Approximately 100 recent high school graduates are being similarly honored in all parts of the state by Butler University this fall.
