.baseball club will officially open , Its season Sunday at Palmer's field, located on highway 527 mid- | way between Decatur and Pleas ant Milla. The opening game will bo played with Paulding, Ohio. Paulding has a fine ball club and the opening game prom lacs to be as interesting as will he the other games to follow throughout the season. The Spartans are members of the Indiana Northwestern Ohio league. Thia league comprises eight

of thte best teams located within u SO-mllo radius, and is made up of teams from Paulding, Convoy, Van Wert, Delphos, Rockford, Ohio City. Neptune and Pleasant Mills. The season will officially open in the league Sunday with all teams of the league, and will close August 2. Pleasant Mills will play its first three games ut home. May 3 will | see Paulding at the Spartan field. On May 10 Convoy will play the Spartans, and on May 17 Van Wert will meet the Spartans on Palmer field. Other games are: Neptune, there. May 24; Delphos at Palmer I field, May 31; Rockford at Palmer j field, Juno 7; Convoy at Convoy, |.lune 14; Paulding at Paulding on [June 21; Ohio City at Palmer field ion June 28; Delphos at Palmer 'field on July 5; Neptune at Palmer [field on July 12; Van Wert at Van I Wert on July 19; Rockford at Rockford on July 26; Ohio City at .Ohio City on August 2. Each team has sixteen certified players and I has placed in escrow money to be paid us forfeits in case the team I visiting does not arrive to play the ' local team. Tin- Spartans have secured two outstanding batteries and should give the fans some real entertainment on Sundays Pleasant Mills will have its new uniforms for the second game. The game starts at 1:30 central standard time. There will be no admission charge but an offering will be taken.
