Whether its the egg hunt or the j parade that you take part in, do it with a zest and enjoy the holiday. == A peak in shopping should be, reached today with the last pur- 1 chases for the Easter holiday. : Trade has been brisk this week and stores were filled with eager shoppers. The Good Friday services were I attended by large congregations and impressive rites were held in observance of Christ's crucifixion. The lessons learned should not be ( forgotten through the year. Its spring and Eastertime, one of the happiest seasons of the year. Put on your best tomorrow and strut a little. Once a year you are entitled to do that and its good for you and every one else. A fire may not break out while your car is parked in front of a hydrant, but it might when someone does it. Then trouble starts. Firemen can’t connect the hose and before you know it, a disastcrous blaze has started, all because someone has illegally parked in front of the hydrant. Violators are liable to a jail sentence. More houses in Decatur could be rented to advantage. The town is growing and the demand for them is as heavy today as ever, the 48 new cottages at the Homestead filling only a small part of the need. Os course this condition is better than having scores of vacant dwellings in a community, but Decatur is destined to grow and additional houses could be leased to those who wish to locate here. The law out in California is no respecter of persons. General Pershing, speeding 48 miles an hour through a little town, was arrested and fined fifty dollars and costs. The judge regretted that was the limit. Most towns would

I have lived where canning factories are common and 1 know positively how offensive they are. Our hospital is one of our county's prize possessions. Our physicians have built up a clientele larger than cities the size of Van Wert or Huntington. Many patients from far out of the county and state come here and they help immeasurably with the upkeep. They will not give a good report if we build a nuisance in tne vicinity to flood their rooms with nauseating odors.
