He was graduated from the Decatur high school , in 1920 and in the fall of that year . entered Indiana University. Later. | he obtained an appointment to < West Point Military Academy and , remained there for one semester, j returning to Indiana University, ; from which institution he was , graduated in 1925 with an A. B. , degree. He entered the Cumber- i land University at Lebanon. ‘to Miss Mary Oman of Bluffton, Indiana. They have one son. John, 'age three. It is with profound sorrow that the Common Council of the City of Decatur, Indiana, notes the passing of Mr. Myers. We deplore his untimely death. As a member of the "Board of . Public Works and Safety" of the City of Decatur, Mr. Myers was very proficient and he gave hfs utmost ability and time to the affairs of the City of Decatur. He was active In ail civic affairs of his community and his presence and assistance will be missed by his associates. It was in the affairs of the city that he better showed the ability which distinguished him as a man among men. Faithful to the trust confided in him as City Attorney without fear or favor, he represented the city efficiently. In his passing, his family has lost a loving and devoted husband and father; the members of this council, a worthy associate; this community, a good and loyal citizen and his Church and the Societies with which he was affiliated, a valuable and faithful member. Therefore be it Resolved by the Common Council of the City of Decatur. that, in commemoration of his life among us. we tender this memorial to his family and that the same be spread of record on a page of the minute book of the City of Decatur, Indiana, and it be set apart and dedicated to his memory. Passed and adopted by the Com mon Council of the City of Decatur, Indiana, this 7th day of April. 1936. Approved and signed by me this 7th day of April. 1936. Arthur R.
