THREE DIE AS TRAIN DERAILS (’rack Pennsy Night Express Derailed; Engineers, Fireman Die Manor, Pa.. Mar. 27 — (U.R)— The crack Philadelphia night expresa of the Pennaylvanla railroad derailed while rounding a curve at high speed early today. Its two engineers were killed and its two firemen seriously injured, one of them dying later in a hospital. Five coaches followed the two locomotives off the tracks. Their passengers were shaken up but not I injured. Passengers in the coaches that remained on the rails were 1 not disturbed and many did not know for some time that an acci- i dent had occurred. The dead engineers were E. F. ' Snyder, Altoona, Pa., and George I Kuhn, Rusadale, Pa. The firemen i were Roy V. Mitchell, Darry, Pa., who died in a Greeneburg hospital at 10 a. im. and Harry Grove, Juniata. Pa. ißoth wereecalded. A freight train, traveling in the opposite direction, was rounding the curve at the same time on the adjoining track. Railroad men, after primary investigation, believed one of the freight cars, perhaps broken free from its anchorage to its trucks, swung out and fouled the fast moving passenger train. The Philadelphia night express is a double-header. It left Pittsburgh at 11:45 o'clock last night with six Pullmans, a diner, and six express cars. GEORGE R.
