One of the most ambitious civic projects ever undertaken by the city of Cleveland, the Great Lakes exposition, is rapidly taking shape. The basic theme of the exposition will be the romance of iron and steel, although the scope of the event will attempt to include most phases of industrial and business life. Extending from June 27 to Oct. 4—loo days—the show will occupy 125 acres along the Cleveland lake front. Among the events scheduled are industrial and historical pageants, the Great Lakes regatta, radio broadcasts by headliners of the entertainment world, sports events of various kinds, midway shows which will be grouped around the cosmopolitan streets of the world.
