For Gracious Hospitality. * ■ This almost too spacious dining room was redecorated to reduce the apparent size in order to suit its furnishings. A large-patterned wallpaper, used in place of a plain one, and two corner cupboards gave a new decorative toueh to the room and made it appear less vast than before. Modernization funds obtained from a private financial institution and insured by the Federal Housing Administration were used to make the necessary changes. Mrs. Smith was accompanied to Decatur by her daughter Mrs. Parker Whiting of Fort Wayne. Luther Gllliom will return to his home in Indianapolis this afternoon after a week’s visit at the Dr. Palmer Eicher residence. Emerson Thompson was an Indianapolis business visitor yesterdayMiss Glenna Lea Brown of Fort Wayne is the guest of Rev. and Mrs. H. W. Thompson. Mrs. Thompson and Miss Brown were roommates at Indiana University. Dr. and Mrs. Ben Duke were Fort Wayne visitors this morning. Miss Anna Lehman of Berne, a graduate in the 1935 class of nurses from the Lutheran hospital. Fort Wayne, will replace Miss Pittman at the Adams county hospital during the latter’s leave of absence. Giles Porter left Friday for Sprinfield, Ohio, where his mother, Mrs. A. J. Porter, is in a serious condition. Miss Gertrude Nichole, vjho has been on the staff of the Adams County Memorial hospital for the past several years, left the first of the year for her home in Watertown, Wis., to enjoy a few months rest.
