COLORFUL PAGEANT IS PRESENTED BY WOMAN’S CLUB iAn outstanding program was presented Monday evening by the Woman's Club at the Zion Reformed Chuhch. A colorful pageant entitled "Women of the Bible” was the most prominent feature. Mrs. Guy Brown, vice-president of the club, .presided and it was decided to .buy a ten dollar health bond. Rev. C. M. Prugh gave a very interesting address in commemoration of Bible Sunday which Is Dec. 8. He told of the verses chosen by the various presidents when they were inducted into office. Prugh was called to Dayton today to attend the funeral of an uncle. Mrs. Nicholas Rich. William Rich and Rufus Nussbaum of near Monroe were Decatur visitors Monday. Dr. Palmer Eicher will attend the meeting of the Fort Wayne Medical Society Tuesday afternoon and evening. Dr. Ixuiis J. Hirschman of Detroit will be the guest speaker at the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Klepper of this city and Mr. and Mns. Carl Klepper of Huntington are in Chicago attending the International Livestock show. Theodore Graliker. president of the First State Bank, who was operated on last week at the Adams County Memorial hospital, continues to improve. His Condition is reported satisfactory. EVERETT PLEA CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE court granted him a new trial. Last September the grand jury returned a second indictment against him with three counts, second degree murder, voluntary manslaughter and assault and battery with intent to kill. Prosecuting Attorney Edmond A. Bosso elected to try him for the second time on the second count. This made him eligible for . bail, which he had not been under the first degree murder indict-1 ment. Judge Mills granted Everett a hearing under habeas corpus pro- • ceedings today. If he had been released under bail he would have been freed under bond until after the trial. Former Local Lady Dies In California Mrs. H. N. Shroll received word of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Floyd Tester, In Monrovia, Calif. Death occurred last Saturday following an operation. It was thought that Mrs. Tester was getting along very well but pneumonia developed causing her death. The I deceased was formerly Miss Margaret Blackburn of Decatur. She ■ had been a resident of California i for the past thirty years. One son, Floyd, Jr., survives. The ditch which is from four to 10 feet deep runs along the road and is a hazard to vehicles passing over the highway. Seek Three Men As Bank Bandits Evansville, Ind., Dec. 3.— — (U.R) — Police today searched for three men, suspects in tlie $15,000 robbery of the Nebo. Ky„ bank, whose names they learned through questioning two women arrested in con nection with the case.
