LEGION AUXILIARY ENTERTAINS AT PARTY The members of the American Legion Auxiliary entertained the American Legion members and their families with a Halloween party in I the Legion hall Thursday night. The hall was decorated with crepe paper of blade anil orange, and cut outs of cats and witches. Colored shades were placed over the electroliers. Old time .Hallioween games were enjoyed and refreshments of pumpkin pie. doughnuts, apples, pop corn and cider were served. The committee in charge of the arrangements for the party Included Mrs. Roy Umpleby, chairman. Mrs. Charles Weber, Mrs. Harry Miller. Mrs. Leo Ehlnger and Mrs. Lloyd Kreischer. The Woman’s Club will meet Monday night at sevenforty-tfive o’clock in the auditorium at the i De. atur high school. The dramatic department will have charge of the program. plans were made for the annual Thanksgiving dinner to he served in the church basement November 21. The dinner will be served for forty cents, and a cafeteria supper will lie given during the evening. Phyllis Kolter played a piano sele tlon and Patsy McConnell sang a number. Mrs. Paul Spuller had charge of the devotions, and a tribute was paid to Mrs. Coy Martz, deceased member of the Ladies Aid and chairman of one of the sections of the organization. Th? members of the October section served refreshments of pumpkin pie, whipped cream, candy and coffee. MRS. WARD CALLAND HOSTESS AT DINNER BRIDGE Mrs. J. Ward Calland was hostess to the members of her dinner bridge club and a number of guests at her home on Adams street Thursday evening at six-thirty o’clock.
