Tabor Ladies Aid Society will give a hard time social Tuesday evening at the Bobo school. Prizes will be given to the ones who represent hard times the best. MEETING OF FRIVOLITY CLUB Mrs. Adrian Baker was hostess to the members of the Frivolity Club at her home Wednesday evening. Prizes in pinochle were won by Mrs. Lew Miller, Mrs. Roy Johnson and Mrs. Ray Fryback. Mrs. Dick Bogner, a guest at the meeting was also presented with a prize. A delicious luncheon was served by the hostess. The next meeting will be held in two weeks with Mrs. Nick Braun. WALTHER LEAGUES HAVE HALLOWEEN PARTY The Junior and Senior Walther Leagues of this city were entertained with a Halloween party at the home of Miss Helen Bowers of Convoy, Ohio, Wednesday evening. Games were enjoyed during the evening. Eighteen juniors, five sen lore and eleven guests were present. A delicious luncheon was served by Miss Bowers, Miss Luella Frohnapfel and Fred Hoffman. Mrs. John Parrish will be hostess to the members of the Literatre department of the Woman s Club at her home Monday night at eeventhirty o’clock. Members of the committee include Mrs. F. W. Downs, Mrs. Milton Swearingen and Mrs. George Flanders. The topic for the evening will be “American Life as Represented by Native One-act Plays.” The Art department of the Woman's Club will meet with Mrs. R. A. Stuckey Monday evening at sev-en-thirty o’clock. The leader will be Miss Kathryn Kauffman and the committee will include Mrs. W. Guy Brown and Mrs; J. T. Myers. MR. AND MRS. SCHAMERLOH CELEBRATE SILVER WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schamerloh of Union township entertained sixty guests at dinner Wednesday evening in celebration of their twentyfifth wedding anniversary. The guests were seated at three long tables which were beautifully decorated with fall flowers. The
center table held a three tier white wedding cake ornamented with silver leaves. The Men's choir of the Emanuel Lutheran church of which Mr. Schamerloh is a member, furnished music during the evening. MENU ANNOUNCED FOR WINNER CLASS SUPPER The Winner’s class of the Evangelical Sunday school will serve a fish fry at the church Friday night from five to seven o'clock. The public Is invited to attend. The .supper wll' be served for twentyfive cents. The menu follows: fried fish, eecalloped potatoes, salad, pickles, bread, butter, pie and coffee. The firemen’s auxiliary will hold a masquerade party in the engine house on Seventh street Monday night at seven-thirty o’clock for all firemen, thdir families and friends. The Music department of the Woman’s Club will meet Monday night at seven-thirty o'clock with Mrs. L. A. Holhhouse. Miss Helen Kirsch will be the leader. The Dramatic department of the Woman’s Club will ‘meet with Mrs. Raymond Kohne Monday night at seven-thirty o'clock. Mrs. Edmund Bosse will be the assisting hostess. HOME ECONOMICS CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS WEDNESDAY The Decatur Home conomks club held the annual Halloween party with election of officers Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Bert Haley on High street. The entrance to the home and the house interior were cleverly transformed with tasteful decorations and motifs with colors of yellow and black predominating. Three living ghosts received the masked guests. Mrs. Elmer Darwachter received the prize for being the last person to be guessed. Mrs. Wm. Affolder and Mrs. Joe Hunter had charge of the entertainment and several stunts and games were enjoyed. In two contests of impersonation and vocal ability, Mi's. Robert Farard and Mrs. Ray O’Donnell received prizes. A brief business meeting was held after which the following officers were elected; Mrs. William Little, president; Mrs. George Squires, vice-president; Mrs. Amos Ketchum, secretary-treasir er; Mrs. Arthur Miller and Mrs. James Anderson, leadens; Mrs. Fred Collier and Mrs. Choe, Hammond, alternate leaders; Mrs. Joe Hunter, press reporter. Delicious refreshments were

Dr. Wm. O. Mcßride of 610 Beechwood drive, Fort Wayne, remains in a serious condition. He has been ill for the past several weeks. Dr. N. A. Bixler attended a library convention at Indianapolis today. Joseph Graber, French township farmer, who was injured in an ’ I automobile accident near Monroe; Friday, was able to resume his duties a.s driver of the star mail route to Fort Wayne. W. C. Lyttle, postal inspector for this district, who was slightly injured in the same accident has been I working for the past several days. Mr. and Mrs. R. O.
