The roll call was answered by telling something about the customs of foreign Countries. A demonstration of fabric testing was given by the ieader. Mrs. Marilynne Clem. Florence Marbach read a poem. Hildn Thieme gave a demonstration of French seams. The next meeting will be held July 16 at the sechoot house. Jefferson Blazers On July 9 the Jeffeiwon Blazers met at the School house with 18 members. 1 visitor, and the le.ider present. After toe bnueinees meeting a short discussion was given on judging, and the group was shown the .proper kind of Aloes to wear for different ocasions. A talk on rayon was given by Deloi ie Dailey and .i reading by Ruth Christy. S.ings and yells were enjoyed toy those (present. Delt 4-H A meeting of the Delt 4-H Club was held Wednesday, July 10 at Decatur High School. Marjorie Kintz was elected vice president to replace Mildred Miller, who has discontinued her work. The business meeting was held, after which games were led by Hildegrade Bultemeier and songs by Evelyn Svhr eder. A work period was held. The hostesses, Evelyn Kleine, and Marie Bultemeire. served a delicious lunch. The next meeting will be held July 18, at 1:30 at the school house. Visitors are welcome. Limberlost 4-H The Limberlost 4-H Club met Thursday afternoon >it the home of Pauline Rupel. After the roll call and 4-H pledge were repeated a basincss session was held and plans were made for a picnic and trip through the factories at Decatur on July 18. Games were played and songs were sung. A delkiouns lunch was served by Elaine G.iew, Irene Cline, Pauline Ruii'el. and Phyllis Fields to twenty members, two visitors. and one leader. The next meeting will be hekl July 25 at the home of Lor tta Clocker. Decatur The Deoitur 4-H Club met at the home of Linda Marbach recently. The meeting was opened with the business session, followed by two demonstration- 1 , one on canning by Linda Marbach and one cn how to cut garments by Wilma Miller.. Poland was attempting bis tWr “ solo flight, after only four hours of instruction at a Vincennes airport. Miss Helen Horral was the only witness to the crash.
