Okla June 20—(UP) — Lois Thompson, Northeastern i State Teachers college student, | was under a 30-day jail sentence to-' day for shooting Daniel Shaw, a Chinese claetunute. iA jury which heard her tried on charges of assault with intent to kill returned the verdict last night. Miss Thompson received the verdict dry-eyed. She had t-at Vied she shot Shaw because she believed hhn ■connected with 14 threatening notes she had received. The state contended the notes were written by the girl’s sister, LeIka Thompson, and that the threats w re a hoax. The defendant said Shaw once asked her for a "date” and told her he had come to carry out prom ices of death nude in. the last note she received. Shaw, who denied the girl’s allegations, was not present wuen the verdict was read. Defense attorneys were not decided whether to appeal. CHURCH SCHOOL CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE eight years of work.
