58 CARS ENTER SPEEDWAY RACE Qualifying Trials For Indianapolis Race To Start May 18 Indianapolis, May 3. (U.R) Fifty eight cars will compete this year for the 33 places in the starting Iflleup of the 500-mile Memorial day race at the Indianapolis motor speedway. The entries closed May 1 but any applications postmarked before that time will be accepted. The Fords will be 85 per cent stock but will lie front wheel drivers. They have been assembled at Detroit and are expected on the track this week.
