Dramatics Highly Important Item In School Activities Os Youths

Dramatics, while considered by many persons as an unnecessary part of school activities, is highly important to (he girls and boys of school age. This study, really an art, is greatly enjoyed by the pupils, who devote many hours annually outside of regular school time to make themselves successful in this line. Dramatics teaches youth confidence in his ability to appear in public, to impress his listeners, improves remarkably his personality and is an invaluable aid, generally overlooked in this age of hustle and bustle, to the youth in later life. While giving due RECOGNITION to the youth, it is not amiss also to give RECOGNITION to the teachers of youth, who so untiringly give their best efforts and many hours not required of them, to aid tlic youth of Decatur to be better equipped to meet the issues of the world after school days are ended. The students of the Central and St. Joe schools annually present a number of plays before the critical eyes and ears of their parents, teachers and general public. Also a great deal of individual work is done in the classroom, which the average citizen does not realize. Students of the two grade schools, recognized during the past
