Oscar Geisel, who before her marriage was Anna E. Carper. Guests included a number of neighbors. The entertaining rooms of the Carper hume were decorated with colored lights and other decorations suggestive of the Yuletide season. The evening was spent in playing games and music. Mr. ißentz states he was ajvised by A. R. Holthouse, mayorelect that his services would not be required after January 1, 1935, and I that the item which stated he had resigned was not correct. Joseph I Kortenber has been named a member of the department, beginning his duties the first of the year. An error was made Saturday in the name of Mrs. Angelina An-drews-Young. former Monroe resident, who died Tuesday morning at her home in Fresno, California. The name appeared Mrs. Angeline Andrews. Mrs. Young was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Andrews of Monroe.
