Some of the new automobiles run eighty to a hundred miles an hour and you can be disturbed considerably if one of them happens to catch up with you. Seriously, its safer to have your fun in the yard, the parks, on the sidewalks or most any place excepting I the streets. Al Feeney, in charge of the slate police, recommends six additional barracks and five radio stations and if we are to maintain such an organization, it sounds reasonable that it be made such a one that will really prove efficient. Several

states, including Pennsylvania. Connecticut and Michigan have at the present state police forces that are feared by every criminal who is smart enough to be dangerous. Indiana would do well to follow suit. The automobile manufacturers and the workers took time out over Sunday and we have the idea that neither wants the present crisis to really come to a head. The factories are having the best run in five years and the men have steady work at good wages. If either does any thing to prevent that from going right along, they do not deserve the sympathy of a public which is anxious to see general conditions improve to a point where every one will be comfortable and happy. Congressman Farley favors the extension of credit to factories that employ a hundred men or less and in a stirring speech in the house, pointed out that in Indiana ninety-' two per cent of the men working in factories are employed in those plants using less than one hundred men each.
