Wright surrendered several days later, confessed to Evansville police and then repudiated the confession. Throughout the trial he contended that a stranger named "Jack." j committed the murder. Noblesville Editor, and leader in the republican editorial association for many years, yesterday announced his candidacy for secretary of state. Neal has been publisher of the Noblesville ledger for many years and has been in newspaper work in Hamilton county for more than 30 years.
