Bridges as pastor of the Methodist church here will be good news to the large congregation and to the citizens of this community in general. During his pastorate here. Dr. Bridges proved his ability and his popularity is unquestioned. He lias been on leave of absence the past several months but w, are sure will enjoy his pastorale here. The conference will |>e held in June when the matter of the selection of a la-rmanent pastor will l>e decided. We welcome Rev. Bridges. Several of the candidates have reported that they find quite a num Ter of voters in the rural sections | of the county who have not registered. These should qualify between now and twenty-nine days before the primary so they can vote. They may register either with the deputy registration office in their township or oy calling at the county clerk's office. Those in the towns or city may also register with the city clerk if they wish I and the township assessors also ■ have the authority to take care of this work. Be sure to register. o CHURCH REVIVALS — Church of God A good sized crowd was in attendance at the revival service last evening, and enjoyed the singing and the message. Tonight is the “Old-fashioned Service.” Be sure to attend. Everything about the service will be old-fashioned. The church will be lighted with kerosene lamps and lanterns. Oldtime hymns will be lined and sung. The message will be on the subject “HellFire and Brimstone.” We are ex pecting the house to be filled to capacity. Come early. Bring your friends. The total cash income In January 1934 was 11 twr i ent greater than in January 1933. The Income from products mark eti-d In Jamiary. not Including benefit payments, was 4 per cent higher than in December 1933 and 23 per cent higher than in January a year ago. The principal Increases in income in January over December were In the income from fruits and vegetables and meat animals, which more than offset the decreases in income from cotton and cottonseed, dairy products, poultry and eggs.
