ASKS DIVORCE OFE.W. KAMPE Former Decatur News paper Man Is Named In Divorce Suit Fort Wayne, Jan. 19—Charging cruel and inhuman treatment. Mrs. Catherine Vesey Kampe tiled suit for divorce in Circuit Court Wwill esday from Elmer W. Kampe, former Fort Wayne newspaper man. She alleges that he had openly and repeatedly advised her that lie no longer loved hr and requested her to free him of matrimonial ties. In addition to a separation decree, Mns. Kampe asks alimony in the sum of *IO,OOO and *IOO a month support money during the pendency of the action. Sue also states that she is unemployed and has no means of support nor funds with which to institute and prosecute the divorce action, therefore asking that the court require Kampe to provide an allowance for her attorney, Robert Y. Keegan, for his services. Mrs. Kampe declares in her complaint that he continually nagged and quarreled with her, and had created such constant strife as to render their living together intolerable. pay the support money and attorney fees asked. Mr. and Mu. Kampe were married November 12, 1921. Mrs. Kampe is a daughter of Judge William J. Vesey. Kampe has been employed on bort Wayne newspapers in various capacities, and tor a number of years was associated with a discount corporation at South Bend. During the past year Kampe became associated with the newspaper at Royal Oak. a suburb of Detroit. Mrs. Kampe states that they lived together until May 21. 1933. They have no children, Mr and Mrs. Kampe lived in Decatur from 1922 until 1925, Mr. Kampe being associated with the Decatur Daily Democrat. o CHURCH REVIVALS Evangelical Church "We Choose God” was the theme of the sermon delivered by Rev. J. W. Dauner at the revival services at the First Evangelical church Thursday evening. The sermon was based on the Old Testament story of Joahua and his challenge to Israel in his farewell address. Joshua declares his choice in the statement, "As for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah." The speaker pointed out the necessity of a choice, showing that we do t-hoose by the standard we live by. the ideals we follow t'he dealt es that rule our lives. He said, "We dare not trifle with the power of choice." "To make our choice effective in Christian living and growth there must be a definite rejection of all false gods, all sin and a whole hearted allegiance to God.
