Q Barber Inspector In Decatur Today Barber shops of Decatur and Adams county are being'inspected to- ' day by Victor Rood, representative of the State Board of Barber Exa- i miners, to see that all local barbers have secured the proper licenses ; and that the shops are being operaid in accordance with the provisions of the law. i This law was enacted by the 1933 session of the General Assembly as a sanitary measure and requires ; that all barbers pass a physical examination to determine that they; have no contagious or communi-i cable disease before they can re- [ < • eive a license. Other provisions | of the law set up sanitary regula-, tions for the operation of barber 1 shops as an additional protection for the customers. The law was to become effective

Jan. 19-(UP) —Retail I milk prices dropped a cent a quart ’ today as the result of a recent 1 agreement between dairy compan- ; ies and the pure milk association, dairymen’s cooperative, under ! which farmers were paid lower ; prices for their products. The reduction, announced by the I large dairy companies, was expected to lead to further cuts by the I so-called independent distiibutors ; who have been charging two cents i less per quart than the larger I dairies. I The price of milk was cut to 10 I Cents a quart.
